Dear family,
I
enjoy the leaves changing color and that our youth continue to engage with each
other and God’s words. This week we talked about being a good friend. Bobby was
mentioning that it’s not good to ghost people. He said, “You know what it’s
like to be ghosted (texts being ignored or someone said they would meet you but
then no call, no show) so don’t do that to others”. Rich noticed some kids
might not have had that experience. He said, “If you don’t know what it feels
like, we can arrange something.”
The
High schoolers all knew but when it came for a fill in the blank – it was “sincerity.”
Someone said, “You can turn that into a K Pop song!” Another said, “I would pay
money to see that.” Bobby doesn’t really dance but his rendition of my dancing
was enough.
Seth
continues to help out around the house, and I am so glad he chooses to be
helpful. He’s got a good head on his shoulders and I’m so glad he makes great choices.
Adriel
is figuring out life. I am blessed to be part of her thought processes, as she
considers why people do the things they do and how to handle tough situations
as they come. Adriel is so sweet and lovely.
I
am enjoying walking with friends again. This keeps me centered. I also enjoy
praying and figuring out life with friends. Yay God. Sunday, a lovely stranger
said we looked like a pretty picture and took the one above. How fun. May you
also find strength in knowing our Lord, walking with friends and enjoying life
together. Love and hugs,
Cristy
