9/7/26

Dear Family,

Bobby had a lovely Birthday party with a small group of friends last Sunday. Monday Bobby and I enjoyed the fair. I loved the three shows we saw. African dancing, Dog circus and a really fun acrobatic one that is pictured. Bobby then went on a trip to visit his dad and spent his actual Birthday, fishing. I am glad Bobby had happy times.

For the first time in months, I made a date with a friend and walked for hours together. It blessed me more than words can say. I am so grateful for people who are willing to chat without boundaries on time. I sometimes forget how much I need to invest in friendships. This entire summer I did not get together with friends (other than work breaks which kept me sane).

Hawaii, having new floors installed and getting sick pretty much took my whole summer. Being too busy to breathe is not fun. Making time to rest with friends is the cure, but I forget. Now my calendar is full of friend dates, and I know it’s good for me, so, I am glad for that.

Seth has swept, washed windows and continued gardening. I’m so glad he is so helpful.

Adriel has been sick. Please pray for her health and wellbeing. I am still feeling overwhelmed with pre-diabetes. I have been researching carb to protein ratios and reading a book my father-in-law gave me. I appreciate your prayers as I investigate this. Usually, I start but then just feel so tired – I have a hard enough time trying to regulate highs and lows of my emotions – expecting me to regulate highs and lows of blood sugar seems a bit much. Yet, I’m wondering . . . what if the two are interconnected. Dun, du, duuuuuun!!! Please continue to pray with me for God’s wisdom, peace and joy. Love and hugs,
